Mary + Dan at Vineland Estates Winery

It's been a while since we've been at Vineland Estates Winery, but some things will never change ... we still looove intimate Niagara winery weddings!!

Vineland Estates is still one of the most beautiful intimate winery wedding venues in Niagara and it always feels like coming home when we get to work there. It's great to see Diane and Jared and the crew ... we've got a great history of designing/hosting the most beautiful weddings together!

Mary + Dan were married in the lovely old stone Carriage House overlooking the vineyard with the Niagara Escarpment in the distance ... breathtakingly beautiful! After the ceremony, their guests were invited on a wine tour and the Carriage House was seamlessly flipped into the reception space ... a beautiful tablescape seating 17 guests in the centre of the room!

Mary's colour palette was a Forest meets Charm mash-up ... the main focus was white and ivory with just a little splash of blush for colour! We used white mini callas, orchids, freesia, sahara roses, blackberries, blushing bride, dianthus and event some antique green hydrangeas and clematis vine from our studio organic cutting garden!

Have I said how much we love this place? I'll let the pictures do the talking now ...







The long harvest or mission-style tablescape is one of our favourite things to do in the Carriage House ... there's something magical about the intimacy and ambiance that it brings to the space.





Between the ceremony and reception setup, we had a little time to sit down in the Vineland Estates Winery Restaurant and enjoy THE most decadent and tasty dessert and cappuccino I've had in a long while ... it's been a busy season!

Robin + Dennis: A 'Charmed' Niagara-on-the-Lake Wedding

So we're officially in those warm, heady days of summer and holiday weekends make for super wedding celebrations ... especially in Niagara-on-the-Lake!

Robin + Dennis tied the knot this past weekend ... outdoors overlooking the Niagara River from the deck of the Queenston Heights Restaurant in Queenston. A hop and a skip down the Niagara Parkway brought their guests to quaint Niagara-on-the-Lake and the Imperial Ballroom at Queen's Landing Hotel, where they celebrated and dined in utmost style!

The bride's 'Charmed' palette was a perfectly pretty combination of blush pink, ivory and white ... classic beauty never goes out of style.

Cheers to summer weddings!

Charm is one of those palettes that brides always seem to return to ... here's an idea of the colour / texture palette we were working with.


The bride and bridesmaid's bouquets ... with callas, roses, lisianthus and orchids.






In addition to being a unique wedding destination, Queenston Heights is also a memorial to The War of 1812 where we Canadians kicked the Americans back across the River ... for the first and last time! Don't worry, it's all good ... we're friends now.







The Imperial Ballroom at Queen's Landing always looks pretty in pink (and white) ... so these centerpieces were right at home!

Sandrina + Patrick's Niagara Falls Wedding

Sandrina + Patrick were married on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Niagara Falls and later that evening celebrated their wedding reception with nearly 300 guests in attendance!

We fused colours from the Charm and Breeze colour palettes to feature shades of blush, muted pink and muted purple with accents of burgundy and cranberry. The ‘look and feel’ could be described as delicate, feminine, understated, modern vintage, classic and somewhat antique!

We designed Sandrina's flowers using similarly 'classic' blooms, such as white and lavender hydrangeas, peonies, roses, calla lilies and trailing ivy foliage.

The bride’s bouquet … love, love, love the throat of this calla lily!


The subtle crystal pin detailing against the antique lace on the stem of Sandrina's bouquet is a perfect example of the 'modern vintage' feel we were aiming for!


The bridesmaids carried a smaller bouquet wrapped in a muted purple satin ribbon ...


To add scale and interest to the large room, we designed three different styles of centrepieces to cover the over 30 tables! The champagne linens and chair covers as well as the silver chargers were supplied by Simply Beautiful Decor.




We did some larger scale versions of the tall centerpieces for the main welcome area, the antipasto table and as part of the head table backdrop ...

Jody-Lynn + John: Niagara on the Lake Wedding at Pillar and Post

Jody-Lynn + John celebrated their Niagara on the Lake wedding ceremony in The Gallery upstairs at the Pillar and Post. After the ceremony, their guests were invited to the Upper Canada Room for cocktails and an evening dinner reception.

The colour palette for the day was ‘Charm’ which featured medium pink hues. We were going for a contemporary yet vintage romantic feel! The soft and fluffy garden roses and hydrangea were a perfect combo!

Jody-Lynn's bridal bouquet ... soft and romantic! Instead of the traditional satin ribbon, a delicate lace detailing was used ...



Such a wonderful rich texture to these garden roses ... we love them! If you lean in close to your screen, you might almost ... get ... a whiff ... mmmmm!


The bridesmaids had coordinating smaller bouquets wrapped in satin with our neat-and-tidy silver stud finish!



We managed to grab a couple of 'candid' shots of the bride and groom over the photographer's shoulder ... this is why we stick to flowers!


The bridemaids lookin' hot (and concerned, for some reason!) in shimmery pewter with heels to match their bouquets!


If you're looking for an upscale venue with loads of history, the Pillar and Post in Niagara-on-the-Lake is for you! Pillar and Post's original structure was built in the late 1890s as a canning factory and since has been lovingly transformed into a fine Niagara on the Lake hotel and wedding venue.


The soft hues of the medium pink roses and white hydrangea in these centerpieces were balanced with hits of fresh green in the form of mint and mock orange foliages from our organic cutting garden.



We created a focal point with this pink-toned Manzanita Wishing Tree in the Regent Room lobby just outside the main dining area.


We flanked the extra-long headtable with two of our signature 'large arrangements ...


This cute multi-tiered cupcake 'tree' was created by the ever talented cake designers at Vineyard Sweets! Good to see you again Ruth and Eda!!!

Marilyn + Joe: Niagara on the Lake Wedding at Queen’s Landing

Marilyn + Joe celebrated their Niagara wedding on a beautiful early fall day at one of the finest Niagara on the Lake wedding venues, the ever classy Queen’s Landing!

Marilyn’s colour palette was something that we refer to as ‘Charm’ - shades of soft pink, white and champagne.

We designed Marilyn’s classic and very full look using garden and standard roses, hydrangeas, orchids and oodles of curly willow … particularly to construct the Chuppah under which they were married!

The bride's bouquet ... perfect example of the ‘Charm’ colour palette.


For the Chuppah, we started with a curly willow base which we then accented with 2 focal points of flowers and cascading foliage. Lots of hydrangeas, roses and foliages with single orchid blooms tied in throughout the willow … it looked magnificent in the Atrium at Queen's Landing!




Joe made for a pretty handsome groom, we'd say ...
