Another first for us ... in ten years of designing flowers for weddings, we've never done one on a Monday ... until today!!
Stephanie + Danny's Jewish wedding ceremony was supposed to take place under the custom-made birch log chuppah we created for them ... but just 10 minutes before the ceremony, the skies opened up and the rain fell. Ever the optimists, Stephanie + Danny simply moved the ceremony indoors to the Vineyard Retreat at Cave Springs.
Suffice it to say, we were a little sad for our bride and groom ... that they weren't able to be wed in the vineyard under the chuppah ... but love knows no boundaries and come rain or come shine, Stephanie + Danny's love certainly weathered this little hurdle. :)
Cheers guys! We wish the newly weds blessings in their marriage.
Bliss was the colour palette for this smashing brides' bouquet ... how lovely!

Our Chuppah looked absolutely amazing out among the graperows in the vineyards ... lovin' it!!

Melissa + Matt's Niagara nuptials took place among the beautiful vineyards of the Beamsville Bench in the Cave Spring Vineyard Retreat ... a thunderstorm threatened to soak the guests in the Vineyard right at ceremony time, so it was quickly moved indoors!
The always lovely 'Glow' was the colour palette du jour! For Melissa + Matt's flowers, we focused particularly on shades of yellow and ivory that were accented with grey and cobalt blue in the girl's dresses, shoes and accessories.
We used words like round, tidy, fresh, vintage, modern, simple to describe the look and feel we were aiming for. To achieve Melissa's look, we incorporated hydrangeas, gerberas, garden roses, spray roses, looped curly willow and funky craspedia blooms into the bouquets and centerpieces.
Congratulations again Melissa + Matt ... it was a pleasure to design the flowers for your beautiful wedding!
This closeup of the bride's bouquet gives you a good idea of the colour palette we were working with ... soft and mellow yellows, ivory and champagne!

The soft yellow bride's and bridesmaids bouquets ...yummy garden roses and the yellow 'pokey' balls are called craspedia ... I know you wanted to know!

The ceremony was quickly moved into the Vineyard Retreat due to the impending clouds of doom that quickly descended on the vineyard about 20 minutes before the ceremony!

This young lady took her job as flower girl very seriously ... she had the right idea with the fan ... it was stinkin' hot!

The girls looked amazing in their pewter dresses and cobalt blue shoes!

The centrepieces sat perfectly on the pewter runners ... yellow looks so good in The Windows Room at Inn on the Twenty!

Details, details ... it's all about the details!

We absolutely love, love, love Niagara winery weddings … especially this time of year!
This weekend, Holly + Rodolfo were wed at Cave Spring Winery’s ‘Vineyard Retreat’ among the grape rows in the vineyard where some of Niagara’s best vintages begin!
After their wedding ceremony, Holly + Rodolfo invited their guests to an evening dinner reception in the Vintner’s Cellar at the nearby Inn on the Twenty on Main St. in Jordan Village.
The colour palette for the day was ‘Fire’ featuring shades of cherry, rust, pumpkin, chocolate and saffron. To achieve Holly’s look, we designed with dahlias, roses, hydrangeas, orchids and mango callas.
It was wonderful to be a part of Holly + Rodolfo’s wedding celebration … cheers!
The bride’s bouquet …

The bridesmaid's bouquet ...

The wedding ceremony was supposed to be in the vineyard, but was changed to the Retreat at the last minute because the weather was not cooperating!

We loved these Fire centerpieces!

There's this creepy / cool grotto in the Vintner's Cellar ... I think it used to be a cistern for the original winery back in the 1800's.

We designed a Wishing Tree out of Manzanita branches in glass.

Mark designed the stationery on the tables ...

I know I’ve said it before, but autumn really is the perfect time of year for an outdoor Niagara vineyard wedding! Janet + Dylan tied the knot on 9|9|09 (a very lucky day in Asia!) out in the Cave Spring vineyards. It happened to be a Wednesday, which is unusual for a wedding, but it was tremendously beautiful nonetheless!!!
After their vineyard ceremony, Janet + Dylan invited their guests to an evening dinner reception at Niagara’s first winery restaurant, the always lovely Inn on the Twenty in Jordan Village.
Janet is in love with pink and we decided on ‘Spirit’ as her colour palette for the day. The gold centerpiece vessels held copious amounts of standard and garden roses which were perfect with the intense pink of the table linens.
We wish Janet + Dylan many blessings in their new married life together!!!

The Flower Girl's Pomander Ball ...

We made little baskets out of curly willow and hung them on our Shepherd's Hooks ... they were used to hold the bubble containers!!

These centerpieces looked amazing against the intense pink table linens ....

Autumn is the perfect time of year for an outdoor Niagara vineyard wedding! Stephanie + Marcus were wed out in the vineyard among the grape rows where some of Cave Spring Winery’s best vintages are grown!
At this time of year Niagara winery weddings are so stunning because the natural beauty of the outdoors is at it’s peak … the colours are deepening, the fruit is ripening and the smell is intoxicating! Did I mention I love autumn?!?!
After their vineyard ceremony, Stephanie + Marcus hosted an evening dinner reception for their guests at the nearby Inn on the Twenty in quaint Jordan Village.
A perfect day!
The bride's and bridesmaid's bouquets ...

We love Niagara vineyard weddings ... this one took place one of the Cave Spring Winery vineyards at the base of the Niagara escarpment.

At Inn on the Twenty, we continued the 'Glow' colour palette in the centerpieces.
