Jennifer + Robert at The Embassy Grand in Brampton

We were on the road again this weekend ... this time to mid-town Toronto for Jennifer + Robert's wedding ceremony at Immaculate Conception Church followed by their dinner reception at the massively massive Embassy Grand Convention Centre in north Brampton! We've certainly been logging lots of KMs this wedding season!

Jennifer's colour palette was based on 'Bliss' featuring warm pink, blush, coral, muted red and burgundy. Definitely one of our all-time faves around the studio!

Lots of floral goodness this week also ... dahlias, red and pink orchids, red hydrangeas, amaranthus, curly willow, celosia, burgundy cordeline, light pink nerines and the most absolutely delicious garden roses ... ever.

Our best wishes to Jennifer + Robert ... cheers to love, life and wedded bliss!!!

Each of the five bridesmaids bouquets carried through the colours, but were slightly different in texture and ingredients ...




For the wedding ceremony, we designed a couple of these oversized altar floral arrangements, some pew-posies and filled two of our 42" glass cylinders with curly willow and red mokara orchids.



In a big space (such as the Embassy Grand) everything has to be done oversized to bring back some scale to the room ... otherwise it's easy to get swallowed up by the enormity of the ceiling! To help achieve the balance of scale, we designed a number of large table centerpieces that were raised up off the tables ... above guest sightlines!! The raised head table, fabric backdrops, LED room lighting and pin-lighting of each guest table helped to contribute to the balance as well. In the end ... a vast space became more intimated and the party was spectacular!

Stephanie + Danny's Vineyard Wedding

Another first for us ... in ten years of designing flowers for weddings, we've never done one on a Monday ... until today!!

Stephanie + Danny's Jewish wedding ceremony was supposed to take place under the custom-made birch log chuppah we created for them ... but just 10 minutes before the ceremony, the skies opened up and the rain fell. Ever the optimists, Stephanie + Danny simply moved the ceremony indoors to the Vineyard Retreat at Cave Springs.

Suffice it to say, we were a little sad for our bride and groom ... that they weren't able to be wed in the vineyard under the chuppah ... but love knows no boundaries and come rain or come shine, Stephanie + Danny's love certainly weathered this little hurdle. :)

Cheers guys! We wish the newly weds blessings in their marriage.

Our Chuppah looked absolutely amazing out among the graperows in the vineyards ... lovin' it!!

Jessica + Dan: This is Bliss!

Happy (belated) Canada Day! It was certainly a weekend of gorgeousness ... if the warm summer air, BBQ with your besties and fireworks display wasn't enough, then you’ve come to the right place for your floral fix!

This pretty Bliss palette we used for Jessica + Dan's wedding was infused with soft blush pink, light peache and medium orange tones and embodies modern vintage at its finest … a perfect palette for all those summer weddings!

Jessica + Dan's Niagara winery wedding ceremony took place in the Cave Spring vineyards followed by an intimate reception in the Winemaker's Cellar at Inn on the Twenty in Jordan.

We're a little short on pictures this week, but we managed to put together this little collage of beauty from Jessica + Dan's wedding ... enjoy!

Shannon + Kirk: Niagara on the Lake Wedding at Pillar and Post

Shannon + Kirk tied the knot this past weekend and celebrated in style at the lovely Pillar and Post (one of the Vintage Hotels) in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario! It was a perfect May Saturday afternoon to get married in Niagara's wine country.

Bliss was the colour palette for the day ... featuring muted tones of antique green, ivory, warm blush and light peach. To achieve this 'modern vintage' look, we chose flowers that have a particular rustic, heritage appeal ... garden and standard roses, dahlias, antique green hydrangea and peonies! We piled on the old-world charm by incorporating fern fronds, heuchera and even some oregano sprigs from our organic cutting gardens!

Best wishes to Shannon + Kirk ... we loved being a part of your wedding day!

Best Centerpieces of 2009 ... featuring 'Bliss'

Continuing along in our 'Best of 2009' series, it's time to share some of our favourite centerpieces from our 2009 wedding season!

Next to your bouquet, centerpieces are probably THE most important floral element of your wedding celebration as it’s the ambience at your reception that makes your wedding truly extraordinary! Centerpieces are our favourite aspect of any wedding as this is where the ‘look and feel’ of your wedding really comes together!

So, let's get started ... 'Bliss' is a colour palette that we first introduced in 2009. Bliss features smooth and creamy shades of melon, peach, blush and vanilla.

Sabina + Craig were married on a perfectly sunny Saturday afternoon in an intimate wedding ceremony at the Gazebo in Niagara on the Lake ... a totally unique and picturesque location for a Niagara wedding celebration! An outdoor evening dinner reception followed at Chateau des Charmes Winery in Niagara on the Lake!





We had the pleasure of designing for an event at the Art Gallery of Hamilton. Performance Lexus of St. Catharines was hosting a cocktail reception and concert to thank it's customers for their loyalty ...



Brad + Kevin's intimate Niagara wedding ceremony took place at one of the great hidden gems you can only find in Niagara's wine country ... The Good Earth Cooking School and Food Company!









Nikki + Will tied the knot and celebrated in style at the lovely Pillar and Post (one of the Vintage Hotels) in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario!
